Welcome to WCA!

Welcome to Windham Christian Academy.  Established in 1981, WCA exists to provide, with God's help, a uniquely Christian education.  We seek to build upon godly values which have been established in the home and have centered our educational standard upon the infallibility of the Bible and its truth, as it is integrated into every area of our school program. It is our desire to not only mentor our students but also offer them the best learning environment possible.

NEWS.....

International Student Program

We are pleased to announce Windham Christian Academy has been accepted to be involved in the International Student Exchange Program.

Mr. Dave Earle is our contact person in this exciting adventure where students from countries around the world can become part of our student body. This will give these students and our students in Maine an opportunity to learn each other's cultures, history, and a better understanding of each other.

Outreach Programs

Led by Mrs. Judy Mickelson, WCA offers programs to area homeschoolers. A Day at WCA gives homeschoolers the opportunity to enjoy art, gym, music, and band with other fellow students. The Independent Studies Program gives parents who homeschool the opportunity to contact our faculty with questions about curriculum or the material their child is learning. Further infomation on either of these programs can be obtained by contacting our school office.

Psalm 33:4

"For the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all He does." NIV

A word from our Middle school teacher, Mr. Rick Hagerstrom:
"Over the years, my family and i have done a lot of camp ministry. Several years ago, a teen who we had met at camp the summer before wrote me a letter. She asked if it was okay that each summer when she returned to camp, she "rededicated" her life to Christ. I wrote back and told her, of course, if she needed to recommit herself to Jesus, she should do so.
I tried to explain something as well. On the one hand, rededicating ourselves to Christ should be a daily event. Bringing our burdens, sins and fears to the Lord is not a one time thing upon the moment of conversion. On the other hand, I asked her, what was happening each school year that, when she returned to camp each summer she had to 'get right' with God all over again. Perhaps this young lady wasn't in an environment that encouraged her to dedicate each new day to Christ, so by the time each summer rolled around she continually found herself distant from God.
This brings out one of the huge benefits of Christian education. By having our children in a place where every teacher strives to point their students to Jesus each new day, the students hopefully never find themselves looking back over an entire school year having slowly drifted from God."
